My Very Own Beloved BlogMon 3/14/2005Had a blast of a weekend. Actually a 4 day weekend at that. One of the highlights was a co-ed 7-on-7 game of Ultimate that went down on Saturday at Mimosa park. Here's an action photo for you sports fans.
Wed, 3/10/05Well...I know that I haven't written in almost 2 weeks. I decided that I needed to get out and experience the real world a little bit. Getting some exercise, doing some social events. I can't be bloggin always you know. In my absences "please refrain from pining away, as this will only complicate matters." (mcj).Since my web site structure has neared completion, in my spare time I have have been entertaining myself a little bit studying the game of Texas Hold'em Poker. But, I took today off and had a chance to add some captions to the pictures in the galley. Also check out Mihai's page. That's a darn fine webdesign. Somebody should copyright that. Look under the "credits" section. What a good man. Sat, 2/26/05NEW! Added 21 pictures to the photo galley.Every so often my friends call me at weird times and find out that I'm..still at work. They were kind enough to make this top 10 list for me, so I thought I would pass on the wisdom.

I only came to a resolution after several hours of research on the web and speaking with several trusted friends. I decided to put the day name in my blog entry date. I think that it will give me more credibility in that I actually blogged that entry on that day. Not a lot, just a little bit. Please do not email me about this because I will not respond on this subject. You may however respond as to how you would like this formatted.I must also confess, that I went on a blogging binge and created 4 blog entries. Also you might look into the about section where I solve the great riddle of why this website exists.
2/23/2005Guys and gals, I got some incredible reader feedback that I am excited about and want you to maybe learn from:
2/22/2005Another problem with my blog is that it isn't a true blogging system. The temptation for dishonesty is too great that I succumb to it. I mean, how do you know I really wrote this on 2/22?Actually this is a good question for reader response: Do you think that the 21st century advent of blogging will usher in an entire new set of ethical dilemmas? 2/21/2005The reason that my blogs are so boring at this point is because I am too busy developing the main content of the website. So stop reading this and go read that.Actually I want to tell you about my inspiration to blog. I mean really blog hardcore. I do not mean to call myself a hardcore blogger (yet), but I am trying. His name is Eric Brill. Go and read his blog but be warned that you may be inspired as well. 2/20/2005Added numerous pictures from my old webpage. Told the story of how I became a Computer Scientist under the work section. Decided that my Python script was overkill. I think I just miss coding. By the way, that goatee picture of me is airbrushed. That is why it is funny.2/19/2005First off, I apologize that my blogs are so boring.2/16/2005This evening I wrote this Python script to solve my problem of Server Side Includes (SSI). SSI lets me put all of the common webpage code (like the header at the top of this page) in a single file, which makes maintenance easier. It's a really nice feature that my free webserver doesn't support, so my script automatically converts my normal ASP-based SSI calls to nasty Javascript print statements right before I send the webpage to the server.2/15/2005Spent some time today helping my friends Hans and Nathaniel Bluedorn at ChristianLogic.com edit their new book, the Thinking Toolbox. It's a childrens book that teaches thinking and logic skills. It was pretty fun to get a sneak preview; I think the kids are gunna like it! And as a bonus I might get an autographed copy! :) It's scheduled to go to the editor and printer in March.2/13/2005Played a little no-limit Texas Holdem with the boys from work last night. Guess who took the big pot of $50 :)? "Lays down a monster." Actually I got pretty lucky, but that is part of the rules too. Also discovered Google maps which is most excellent. I like the visual appeal of the maps, the draggable interface, and the smart parsing of the address (you can paste the entire address into single field). 2/5/2005Finished up the repair job on my TransAm's torn seat. They wanted $250 to do a proper repair, but I bought a $25 leather patch kit from a website. Here's a before and after. Can you tell difference?
2/4/2005Did a little more work on the webpage, and registered jplehmann.com. I figured for fifteen bucks to get it for at least one year, why not? I think that's as close as I'll get to my name. Worked on the pics, hobbies, and links sections.2/2/2005Kicked off the month of Febuary with a hectic week at work. Just completed two days of presenting two brand new systems we have developed to the government. Things went very well. Then, I came home and designed this website! I borrowed some of the look and feel from my good friend Mihai Surdeanu's old web page. He is so cool that his name gets over 200 hits on the new MSN search. I think he deserves a Wikipedia entry. 12/21/2004
